B&AAVV. avvocati associati is brand new law firm born from the partnership between Marino Busnelli and Corrado Allora Abbondi. Here, the different, yet complementary, areas of practice of the firm – Commercial and Corporate Law; Real Estate; Labour and Employment Law; Litigation and Arbitration, Insolvency and Restructuring, Wealth Management and Trust – reach the perfect balance.
In the such main practice areas, we are assisting and advising Italian and foreign companies and individuals operating in many different economic sectors: Textile and Chemical Manufacturing, Fashion, Media & Entertainment, Real Estate, Retail, Information Technology and Electronic Payment Solution, Financial Institution and Investment Funds, Foundation and no profit organization.
In Italy, 85% of the companies are family based: in light of this, the professionals are keen on providing assistance to corporates and individuals, facing, among the many possible scenarios, complex situations related to the ongoing financial crisis, the corporate restructuring and the transition of family business to one generation to the next.
In order to provide national and international clients with an efficient and combined assistance, the firm conjures up the expertise developed in the areas of corporate law, real estate, employment and labour law, commercial and corporate litigation, restructuring and insolvency, assets and wealth management legal assistance, representing its clients both before every instance of the national courts both in extra-judicial transactions.
In addition to the founding partners, the firm provides assistance, top-quality, timely and intelligible solutions to its clients with highly qualified associates specialized in different fields of laws, fluent in English as well. In relation to the areas of law that are not directly dealt by the team, the firm cooperates with external practitioners or professor (e.g. criminal, tax, administrative lawyers, accountant or technical experts) when specific necessities demand it.
Moreover, thanks to their previous experience in prominent international law firms in Milan and abroad the members of the firm have a wide network of international connections with lawyers and law firms in United States, England and many European countries (such as France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Austria), Russia, United Arab Emirates and Brazil. In that respect, the firm advises clients on issues of a transnational nature, requiring an understanding of other legal systems in collaboration with professionals from other jurisdictions and the ability to manage cultural differences.
The core values from which the firm raised its origin and bases its activity are: independence, concreteness, creativity and quality. All these values together allow us to provide the strongest commitment to each mandate in order to be close the needs of our clients. In such context, we believe that not only technical excellence, although essential, can help us to meet with clients’ expectations. Clients satisfaction also depends on quality of service, that for us means: reliability, availability and timely responsiveness.
Our services may be compensated under a variety of fee arrangements with clients, including purely hourly-basis fees or flat fees for specific transactions or mandate. With the engagement letter we will provide the list of the legal services and the relevant fees agreed with the client, this in order to have our client duly informed on the rates applied.
Our firm is especially conservative in recording and charging for the services it provides. For example, when billing on an hourly basis:
- we believe it is fundamental to learn about our clients' business, industry and approach - we do not charge for the time that we devote to this activity
- we do not charge for travel time
- when more than one professional attends a meeting, we do not automatically charge the client for each professional's time, but instead assess the value added by each of the participants
- if a new professional is involved in a matter, we do not charge for the time that he or she spends in getting up to speed.
We will bill normally each month, for fees, other charges, and disbursements and the client is expected to make payment upon receipt of our invoice.
